The first link from the Microsoft Word Assistance instructions was the one on margins and indents (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011226861033.aspx). It is helpful in setting up margins for technical writing, since letters, memos, and the like. Setting up the correct margins and indents in a paper is difficult manually, but with a few commands, you can set the indents and access them by hitting "tab". I myself had a difficult time with this.
The second link I found useful was Adding Page Numbers and Other Information [to headers] (http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011226861033.aspx). It gave instructions as to how to put page numbers and the date in the header. It is good for writing essays and other papers in that style. I never could get papers numbered right, but thanks to this, it can help me do so.
